The French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam (CCIFV) was created in 1989 in Ho Chi Minh City on the initiative of French businessmen. Following the significant development of its activity, it was recognized by the Union of French Chamber of Commerce and Industry Abroad as a fully-fledged Chamber of Commerce and is now included in this worldwide network which is composed of 107 Chambers in 77 countries, and gathers together more than 30,000 company members. The Vietnamese authorities granted the CCIFV with a first license on November, 30th 1998 which made official the presence of the French Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam. The CCIFV, non-governmental and non-profit organization, gathers over 270 members and offers its services in Hanoi as well as in Ho Chi Minh City. It is represented by 6 board members in Hanoi and 18 in Ho Chi Minh City.
