Job Description

Our client is a plantation which manages about 6,000 acres of oil palm plantation with an office at the estate and an office in Lahad Datu.

  • Overall in charge of preparing financial statements and administration matters for the company which includes overseeing the handling and preparation of full set of plantation accounts
  • Ensure accounting entries are posted in an accurate and timely manner
  • Responsible for maintaining the costing of inventories and assist in physical stock counts with warehouses and plantations
  • Perform estate visits
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents and company secretary
  • Assist in adhoc reporting and adhere to reporting due dates
  • Lead and manage a team of accounting and administration staff

Job Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or a Bachelorís degree  in Accounting and/ or professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, etc
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a similar capacity, preferably from plantation industry
  • Preferably a qualified accountant but those with good experience in accounting can also be considered
  • Pleasant personality with strong leadership and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Willing to travel to Kota Kinabalu or other towns were government departments are located to settle authority matters
