Job Description

OVERVIEW
We are looking for experieced Camp Managers to join our team at our International Remote locations. This position would be rotational (3 months on, 3 weeks off depending on location). 

THE MISSION
  • To manage all camp operations, the Camp Manager should be superior in all aspects of remote site   management to include catering, cleaning, laundry, QHSE, HR/ADM (staff recruitment, staff training), cost control, camp maintenance, grounds keeping, etc…·      
  • Must guarantee to manage and operate assigned camp(s) according to Aden Services Standard with methods of Professionalization, Standardization, Procedure and Humanization.
 
Part I: Role

Part II: Responsibility
 
Key tasks:
 
  • Accountable to manage all camp activities as directed by the General Manager according to the signed Contracts, SOW and company standards, making no amendments without the approval of the ADEN Senior Management.
  • Perform all leadership duties as Company Management representative.
  • Lead, manage, teach and coach camp teams, including support members, food services, housekeeping, maintenance, and other team members.
  • Coordinates the day-to-day operations of ALL assigned Sites.
  • Optimize labor at site based on SOW and budget requirements.
  • Implement and supervise standardized controls at each site to include but not limited;
  •  
    •   3-6 month material consumption forecasts,
    •   Standardized recipes,
    •    Effective time management rosters,
    •    B52 material control meeting daily, weekly and monthly AMC budget
    •    Petty cash and sales control
    •    Monthly Operations reporting (KPI’s Required by Management)
    •    CA MMS maintenance management
    •    Site Digitization systems
  •  Optimize product usage at each site maintaining standardizing material lists.
  •  Perform regular inspections and ensure presence of staff regularly.
  •  Maintain operational budgets in accordance with RSM contract SOW and achieving positive EBIT results within P & L.
QHSE Management:
 
  • Maintain and audit corporate Total Quality Management SOPs and systems at each site.
  • To ensure consistent continual improvement scheduling in implemented and follow-up of staff training, records to be kept for each team member.
  • Maintain open communication with clients for all major issues and concerns, ensuring good relations with the customer and implement corrective actions to resolve issues.
  • To ensure that the right amount of products and the correct equipment are used and applied as according to our contracts.
  • Ensure QHSE practices are being implemented with whole camp with daily tool box training and weekly staff meetings, to include HACCP and as well as safe hygiene protocol regulations are strictly followed.
  • Regular audit HSE practices at each of the sites working areas, to include offices, kitchens, dining rooms, accommodations, laundry, site grounds, etc….
  • Ensure all staff maintains high personal hygiene and the uniform standard set by the company, good health check for each staff, make the personal data folder in camp office.
  • Ensure consistent scheduling of the daily operations.
  • Implement emergency Stock level as per contract requirement,
  • Cooperate with client; make the EHS audit and monthly health check.
  • It is forbidden to use or be under the influence of drugs or alcohol on any project site, all employees are subject to prescreening, random testing and post incident testing. Test failure at any stage will result in removal from site.
  
HR/ADM/FIN Operations:
  • Ensures daily cost targets set by management are achieved.
  • Assist HR management and advise field staff recruitment, staff interview, staff monthly appraisal.
  • Conducts regular daily and weekly documented meetings with departmental teams.
  • To coordinate any issues regarding to camp management between client & Aden Site/Project Manager
  • Implement Rosters, staff attendance systems at all sites
 
Part III: Reports & Deliverables:
 
  • Daily reporting B52 all material consumption, Man-day’ and meal counting for the daily report
  • Report to Operations Manager/General Manager regularly on daily activities, and issue formal OPS report daily that includes occupancy and usage, costs, work completed, work planned.
  • Consolidates customer surveys and quality Forms from all sites and confidentially forwards summary reports to Project Manager.
  • Completes monthly operation reporting based on instruction from General Manager.
  •  Reporting all maintenance issue to Client representative.
  •  Strictly control drinking water consumption with delivery signatures, and maintain inventory & monitoring reporting to Management.
 
 

Job Requirements

  • Hospitality Degree/Diploma, or 10 years’ experience in the hospitality industry with at least 7 years in a Camp Management on remote site areas.
  • Previous experience in running large Camp Facilities is a plus
  • Someone willing to challenge the status quo and take an innovative approach
  •  Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  •  IOSH Managing Safely (preferable)
  • Strong organization, leadership, people management and team building skills
  • Excellent customer service skills with a strong customer focus
  • Calm under pressure with a mature outlook
  • A Team Player with a “firm-but-fair” approach to all situations
  • An excellent communicator, able to work with all levels of the organization
  • Self-motivated with strong initiative
  • High Level know-how in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with integrated Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical thinker with numeracy skills
  • Experience with quality assurance and control
  •  Ability to accurately complete documentation and paperwork effectively and efficiently
  •  Ability to implement and maintain a paper-trail and filing system for internal auditing purposes
  •  Ability to understand and be familiar with general work flow processes, procedures and systems
  •  Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions at a high professional standard
  • Able to deal with emergency situations in accordance with Company and Client policies and procedures
  • Models high standards of performance and behavior
  •  Able to develop team commitment and co-operation, encouraging and promoting team performance
