Position: Business Development Director

Forhermyanmar is one of the largest online communities created exclusively for Myanmar women. We provide exclusive club memberships for students, career girls, and executives across Yangon, Mandalay and Nay Pi Taw (other cities to be added shortly). Club memberships include surprise gift boxes each month, free entry to four exciting events each month, along with exclusive content and significant discount shopping opportunities with our online ecommerce partners.
Reports to: Managing Director
The Business Development Director will spend the bulk of their time mentoring the Business Development Manager and four Marketing Executives that focus on selling club memberships and sponsors for events and samples for the members’ monthly surprise box of health and beauty products. This person will also be responsible for developing strategic alliance with large corporations which the company can partner with for creating special events, such as fashion shows, music or film festivals that celebrate the Burmese woman.
The Business Development Director should look forward to mentoring their team and be able to work as part of that team. They should be able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, be self-motivated with a positive attitude and have strong communications skills.
The Business Development Director is always positive and supportive. The qualified candidate will be responsible for generating enough revenue from club memberships, events, and online marketing to create a sustainable revenue base for the company to grow. This person will also work closely with the Managing Director to develop new target markets and new services to increase revenue streams.
- Coordinate with the Business Development Manager and analyze performance of all revenue producing initiatives and refine the marketing and sales strategy to leverage what’s working and stop activities that are not sustainable.
- Meet with all Marketing Executives – Club Member Sales and Support once per month for their feedback on their activities selling memberships, and assist in planning new activities that maximize what members liked and mentor the Marketing Executives in resolving issues members did not like.
